The smallest moments often matter the most ~
for those still here, and those still loved.
Hello and welcome.
Most of us wait until we're writing a eulogy to say out loud what someone meant to us, and by then, they can't hear it.
I started Legacy Leaves because I felt the window closing in my own family, and I didn't want to spend the rest of my life holding words I never said. Maybe you feel that pull too.
This is a quiet place for the work of remembering: capturing the stories, the people, and the small ordinary moments that shaped you — before they slip. Whether you're still holding someone's hand, or you've already had to let go, you're in the right place.
Where to start
Read the monthly letter. Every month I send a short note on gratitude, memory, and the people we hold close. It's free, and it's the heart of everything here.
Write the letter you've been meaning to write. A short, guided way to say the thing — to someone living or gone — while you still can.
Read the book for inspiration. A nostalgic journey through a Midwest childhood in the '70s and '80s and the people who shaped a life without ever knowing it.
Part memoir, part invitation, with prompts that help you find and share your own gratitude before it's too late.
